Particle Organizer
MEMS Precision Instruments
Current Available Design Particle Organizer, many more will come soon.

The Particle Organizer is useful for archiving important particles that have been collected
for study. It has a 10 x 10 array of posts on which to deposit the particles. Each post has next to
it a unique identifying number (0-99) so that you never have to worry about whether you have
the right particle under the microscope. The posts are 25 microns tall, and 20 x 20 microns
square. The organizer is a silicon chip 5 mm x 5 mm. The surface is a 0.25 micron layer of silicon
dioxide. The chip can be put in the electron microscope, or optical microscope, or many other
scientific analytical instruments.
The space between neighboring storage posts is 200 microns so there is plenty of room to
manuever the microtweezers without having to worry about disturbing other particles that
have already been stored on array of posts.
In normal use, the chip is handled with hand-held tweezers. The particles are placed on the
storage pedestals using microtweezers.
