The straight tip design is the most versatile for general use with all objects, but
it is least resistant to moments that may act to rotate the gripped object.
The force applied on an object when the tweezers are closed depends on the distance the
gripper beams are deflected, and the stiffness of these beams. Designs can range from
nano newton to millinewton forces as needed in different applications. Further control
of the applied force is obtained by using the tweezer controller to maintain the power
to the actuator that just keeps the desired amount of gripping force on the object.
