This tip provides 4-point V contacts with the object being gripped. The thin suspension beams that hold the 2 V jaws are compliant to allow the V's to rotate as needed to come into contact with an irregular, or misaligned, object. When the tweezers close, the load beams push on the back of the V's, while allowing them the freedom to pitch and roll. The compliant suspension beams are 2 microns wide.
