This tip provides 3-point contact with the object being gripped. The thin suspension beams
that hold the 2 tooth jaw are compliant to allow the teeth to rotate as needed to come into
contact with an irregular, or misaligned, object. When the tweezers close, the load beam
pushes on the back of the jaw, while allowing it the freedom to pitch and roll as needed to
contact the object. The spacing
between the 2 teeth is 20 microns.
